Slow living: to live better, with intent and well-being!

Remember: this lifestyle is shaped by your vision of the world and of yourself.

Slow living is a movement that aims at meaningful and conscious living, aligned with what you value most. Many people treat the term as the essence of slowing down because it encourages self-knowledge and decision-making that benefits the planet. In this way, to adopt it is to give yourself a new chance to have discipline in dealing with time, to produce without focusing on quantity, to make relevant connections, and to invest in what is good for the body, mind, emotions, and spiritual. Keeping up with your pace!

The path of slow living:

  • Rethink your mindset and develop your true values;
  • Apply these values and start living accordingly;
  • Initiate simplification and remove distractions to get off automatic pilot, celebrate the present and deepen self-knowledge;
  • Have new experiences, such as cooking meals, being in nature, therapeutic writing, taking care of something creative using your hands, performing meditation, having a garden, etc.

How did the movement start?

 In the 1980s, inspired by slow food — which defends regional food traditions, encourages pleasure in good quality food, and engages in sustainable activities. The concept of slow living was introduced by Carl Honoré in 2014 and there is a book "In Praise of Slow - How a Worldwide Movement is Challenging the Cult of Speed," triggering the expansion of the idea of "slow" which has even merged into fashion - providing women with the act of investing in products that promote affection and durability.

Slow living in fashion

By taking on slow living, it is natural to reinvent your closet (including your home decor), and the process is to bet on conscious consumption, which focuses on resistant materials and timeless colors. Once you discover its principles, slow living manifests itself!

Pay attention: websites and social networks that generate content about slow living adhere to a minimalist aesthetic and favor earthy tones, which are calming and long-term expressions. It is not a requirement, because the intention is to use your point of view in accordance with what you are experiencing. All in an invigorating and connected way with the natural. Cool, isn't it?

Just as Modare Ultraconforto thinks, the shades are selected to promote a positive impact on mood. Several of them are focused to convey the feeling of coziness, such as almond and beige. Neutrals, such as cream, serve as a base for the more vibrant ones, such as orange and shiny gold, stimulating communication. Slow living is certainly a life curatorship, and it won't be surprising if you want to reduce, renew, and donate what no longer represents you, keeping only what you truly love. This also has to do with shoes, because longevity and sensoriality are essential. They can be found in the sandal lines, which have block heels (offering more comfort), flexible finishes (such as elastic bands), contemporary design, and technologies that care for the health of your feet.

As a bonus: timeless and easily portable shoulder bags to carry what you really need.
